Side Gigs As A Photographer

When you're first starting out as a photographer most likely you do not have an extensive list of clientele. So, as much as you might want to put all of your undivided time and energy into your photography business, you may still need to have a side gig or two until business picks up. There are many options out there, but in my case I nannied for this amazing family and was able to supplement my income with that. Nannying offered a good income with fewer hours, and most importantly a lot of flexibility. Both of these things were important to me because I needed to have time to devote to my photography business. However, other friends of mine have worked in the restaurant/service industry, walked dogs, or even worked a regular 9-5 while also booking photography shoots on the weekend. Sometimes growing a business means finding a balance, getting creative, and having to be very mindful of your schedule in order to see the growth you are looking for. What are some of the side gigs you've had while starting your business?
