Get To Know SJDalton Photography

For those of you who are new, or are simply curious who is behind this blog page... Hi! my name is Samantha and I run SJDalton Photography. I wanted to make a post to give a little insight into who I am, not just as a photographer, but as a person. I am hoping to make this a monthly entry in the blog to give the few of you who are reading this an insight into how things are going for my business. However, first I wanted to give a little background about me. I am a 24 year old photographer from a small town in southern Maine who decided to move to NYC after college. I had always wanted to live in the city and after getting my degree in theatre it seemed like the next logical step. However, NYC also offered another creative avenue for me to pursue, my photography! I had started my photography business in Maine but once I moved to the city I knew that it was the perfect opportunity to officially launch my business in a whole new market. I have been in the city for about a year and a half and am continuing to work on the growth of my business. Some other fun facts about me include... I have an adorable little cat named Lexie who always sits with me while I edit photos and make these post, both of my parents are business owners and are a huge reason why I started my photography business in the first place, and when I am not at a photography shoot, I am most likely going to see a broadway show!
