Free Photoshoots

Apologies as today's post is a little late on account of me having a shoot earlier today. This shoot was extra special for me because I got to work with an actual model. That being said something that didn't happen today, was me getting paid. Let me explain... What I did today was called a TFP shoot. What this means is that a professional photographer (who would normally be getting paid for their work) collaborates with a model (who would also normally be getting paid for their work) in order to build both of their portfolios. TFP shoots are a long debated topic in the photography world. A lot of photographers feel like they are a waste of time and that everyone should be getting paid for their work. Others feel like it is a great opportunity to work on your craft and establish yourself in the industry. While I see both sides and do not typically schedule TFP shoots myself, today was a beautiful day, and since i had nothing else on my agenda I figured it was a great opportunity to work with an actual model, and gain some new material for my website. The shoot was really fun, and I am already so excited to share the results!
