Yesterday I talked about turn around times and how that is just one aspect of working with your clients. Today I want to talk about other ways that I try to ensure that my client have the best time at their shoot! The things I find most important is proper and prompt communication with the client. For example, the first thing I do when a client reaches out to me for a shoot is ask them what their specific goals are for the shoot. I also add that they are welcome to send me any photo inspiration that they can find. This allows me to go into the shoot with specific goals in mind. The next thing I do to ensure my client leaves happy occurs when I am actually at the shoot with them. From the beginning of the shoot I explain step by step how the shoot is going to work, and what each step of the shoot is going to look like. One of my own personal favorite things to do is to give my client a sneak peak of some of the photos I have taken while we are at the shoot. I also take that time to be as encouraging as possible saying things like "I absolutely love this one!" or "You guys are so awesome! Look how cute this photo is!" This is helpful especially for clients that are not as comfortable in front of the camera. Lastly, before the end of the shoot I always go over my process for delivering the photos to them, and ask if they have any other questions or if there is anything else they would like to do. What are some things you do to go above and beyond for your clients?
